Sept 2010
What a wild ride it's been.The 2010 National Specialty attracted the largest entry of Ridgebacks in recorded history. Over seven hundred entries came in hopes of bringing home ribbons. With bait in hand & high hopes for placements under Breeder/Judge Sandra Fikes we made the trek from Texas to California and boy are we glad we did!

The trip started out with Chester taking 4th in Sweeps and making the cut in the puppy classes. Not to be out done Duchess takes the veteran bitch class handled by our friend Sharon Gardener giving her a chance at breed.

The day for Best of Breed judging came. Moose made cut after cut with handler Sue Cassel as proud owner/breeder Heike Fulton watched on - he was in the final running! The veterans were brought in and Duchess again strutted her stuff as a team with Sharon. We all waited anxiously to see who would be bringing home a ribbon.

Moose takes an Award of Merit along side his mother Duchess. Duchess refuses to be outdone by her son & takes home Best Veteran in Show as well!

This was a trip we will never forget!

Moose takes Best of Breed in Perry GA at the North Georgia Hound Association under judge Kenneth E. Miller at the capable hands of Sue Cassel!
