In 1999, we were looking to adopt an adult Ridgeback, and discovered two 7-year-old brothers online at RRRI.  After talking with Judy Cato, we just HAD to have them! 

In just 10 days time, our lives were changed completely, and for the better.  We got married, closed on our house, moved in, and drove all the way to St. Louis, MO from Syracuse, NY to complete our family with the adoption of Haus and Little Joe. 

These sweet boys had been surrendered by their owner, who would not allow them in his new house after bringing them cross-country.  They had been living outside and in the garage for one year prior to joining our family.  

 Here at Harley-Ridge we are extremely conscientious of who we breed to. The match must be complimentary on both sides bringing the qualities we strive for to the table. Because of this we breed on a very limited basis. 

We breed for quality, not quantity.

We are also very proud that EVERY one of our test results for our dogs can be found on www.offa.org for easy verification of our open book policy on our dogs health.

The boys quickly made themselves at home!  They brought us so much joy over the years, everyone should consider adopting an older dog.  We had Haus for 5 years and Joey for 6 years; many good memories! 

Two years later we added Duchess to the household...Haus tried to teach her who was boss right from the start; it worked for awhile!
